Our heat pump story

Being in business for over 35 years has established Twenty Degrees as one of one of the oldest heat pump licensed companies in the Halifax HRM area. With this type of longevity in a company, we are not only able to offer our customers the expertise they deserve but also the security for continued support down the road.

The owner – Gordon Fraser – proudly accepting the Nova Scotia Powers 2018 award for ‘award of excellence’ through the contractor recognition program

“We are one of the oldest Halifax heat pump licensed companies in the HRM area. We have attained
platinum level with our dealership and a five-star rating with Fujitsu. This also allows us to
offer a 12 year warranty on labor and parts for Fujitsu Ductless Heat Pumps, that most other dealers can’t. These ratings are attained through sales achievements and extensive and ongoing training with our product line. We specialize in Fujitsu as a brand in ductless heat pumps as we feel they are a superior product in the industry. York is our brand of choice in central ducted systems for
residential or rooftop commercial applications: however we are able to accommodate any
customer requests for other products.”

“We are a one-stop Halifax based company for business and residential customers. We can provide design, installation, fabrication, electrical and duct work: we can take any project from nothing to a
successful finished product. We are one of 27 approved commercial and residential contractors registered with Nova Scotia Power. But we do not only service and supply heat pumps. Being a HVAC company we are certified and trained on food equipment repairs from Taylor, Henny Penny, rational and GBS food equipment servicing some of the top retailers and restaurants in the area.”

It’s tough for Home owners to know who to go to for Heat Pump installs. This is an investment that people want a good return on and support when needed. Twenty Degrees recognizes that and can offer customers what they want. Home owners purchase heat pumps to supplement their primary heat source – such as electric baseboard, oil or electric furnaces. Gordon advises people to seek out a reputable installer with the proper certification to ensure they get the best service and quality product. Certification is important because without it your units have no warranty, especially if purchased online. Good deals are not always the best deals!

Sometimes you pay alittle more for the quality and a superior product, which is wise in this
type of investment.

Twenty Degrees recommends checking out the Efficiency Nova Scotia website for information on rebates and financing available for electric customers and upgrades on their present heating systems. Nova Scotia power allows qualifying commercial and residential heat pump customers to finance their systems through a provincially sponsored program.

Not only for all your heating, ventilation and air conditioning issues, but food equipment repairs from ice cream to fryers, contact Gordon and his staff at their Burnside location by
